This suggests that the presence of a bulging disc alone may not be the sole cause of back pain, and other factors or mechanisms may contribute to the development of symptoms. It highlights the complexity of the relationship between spinal abnormalities and the experience of pain, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive assessment and consideration of various factors when evaluating and treating back pain.
